Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: fitting a trailer?

I just purchased my first whaler, which is a 1988 17 montauk with a yamaha 100 4 stroke. The boat came without a trailer and i have been having trouble finding information on what i need to be looking for, dimension wise. I am limited on funds so am looking for a used trailer and this has become quite the challenge. I am not sure if the style of the montauk hull dictates where the bunks need to be. etc... If the attachment works this is one trailer that i was looking at.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

John

John,

You have an excellent trailer manufacturer in your neck of the woods. Trail-Rite....

They may even have used trailers.

There are different sizes for different boats, etc....
You want something that has keel rollers and 4 bunks...
See this prior thread on the proper trailer setup. Of course this trailer is for a larger boat but the principle is the same, just smaller...
