My engine control is mounted down to a flat part on my console. Where the screws go through is cracked, so I want a new one. If I look at the exploded assembly of the remote control for my engine, its doesn't have these vertical mounting holes. Where do I get one? Can I?

What brand of controls do you have?

If you are talking about just the black cover, on line I do not see a cover for sale but if you as your shop for a OMC Binnacle Control Box cover they should be able to get you the cover and you can move your key switch and controls into the new cover.
The black part is just a plastic cover the actual mounting hardware for the shifter is under that.
I would consider a pulling the cover throw on some super glue and a splash of black paint. it will be good as new

Local shop had nothing to help. Gave me a number for a place in California. I'll search the internet this week. Its completely destroyed around the bottom. No screw holes, only the nuts from the keyswitch and safety lanyard hold it on. Allowing any rain into console...

Without you telling us what brand of controls you have, we have no real way to help you. Also the approximate year of your controls.
Take a look at this article we have in our Article link on the left sidebar.

It does appear that you have OMC controls in your personal page.
Those should still be available.
Talk to a good Evinrude dealer or look up the parts on their online parts page.

From the Evinrude online parts catalog above, it looks like you need:
0124885 COVER, Remote control
Call Sue @ Twin Cities Marine and see if she can get you one.
