The new Yamaha F200 In-Line is now listed on their website.
http://www.yamahaoutboards.com/outboa...4/overview

It weighs in at 489 pounds for the 25" shaft version.

Interesting that it weighs 2 pounds less then the F150 In-Line model.

Also see our Current Engine Choices and weight article for comparisons.

Joe,

I have a 1986 22' Outrage. Presently running twin 1996 130hp Evinrude's. I would like to re-power my boat with the new Yamaha 200hp or Twin Yamaha 115B (387 lbs each). Inboard tank holds 77gallons. Due lots of deep sea fishing and escorting outrigger canoe races. Weight from the 90HP to 115Bhp is very small. What's your opinion. p

This thread is over 2 years old so the Yamaha motor is hardly new today.

Depends on whether you want twin motors for extra safety or if yo can live with a single motor.

The F115 weighs in @377 pounds for the 20 inch Long shaft version which is what you would need for your Outrage 22 if going with twins.

If going the single 200hp, then you would need a 25 inch Xlong shaft.

200hp is enough hp if you are not a speed demon.
Again, this would be up to you.
I had a 175hp on my Outrage 22' Cuddy and it was fine.
However, I did not go far offshore like many people here do.

If I choose twins, total weight on transom would be 754 lbs. That would be 54 lbs over the max allowed. Is that to much for the transom to handle?
