Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: 1999 30 hp johnson carburetor

Any threads on here on how to take it off? Carburetor mounting bolts are blocked by the electric starter. I'm not too mechanically inclined. But would like to give it a try to hopefully save a little cash. (Hopefully)

I would buy a repair book for that motor.

Sounds like you need to take the starter off first before you can get to the carburetor.
