I have been getting nothing but great advise on my 16' nauset rebuild. I have decided to repower with a 2012 Yamaha F70 4 stroke. How long do I tell the dealer to order the Control cables and wiring harness? Running a standard console in the normal factory position.
Thanks

Cables should be 18' under most circumstances. The ignition harness will problably come in 5' increments, so 20' would be correct.

I was wondering the exact same question for my f70 that is going on the 1989 montauk. I have to rig it up and from the link above on the subject and from other research i have done it seems like people are recommending 15 or 16 ft cables. i guess i am wondering if yamaha cables come in 5' increments. I would like the cables to be set up right, but i also want the minimum amt of extra cables. I was the pics of toby port's montauk with f70 (fellow member) but i cant find the thread. His rigging on his boat looked perfect.
