Has anyone heard anything about contest winners yet? I think June 1 was supposed to be the day that winners would have been contacted by.

The contest rules state that the winners would be contacted by telephone. Telephone seems like an odd way to contact a winner to me, although I could not explan why I think that.

I read the Official Rules to try and get an idea when they might announce the winners.
Here are the facts from their web page.
12. Potential winners will be notified by phone by June 1, 2007. If a potential winner cannot be contacted within fourteen (14) days after the first attempt to contact the potential winner, an alternate entrant may be selected in his or her place from all entries received.
13. Winners List: Winners of the Photo Contest and Video Contest will be posted on the Boston Whaler Web site after the winner is notified. A complete list of prizewinners will be available by sending a stamped self-addressed envelope after June 1, 2007 to Davis Newman Payne, Attention: My Whaler Memories Contest, 4700 Coster Road, Knoxville, TN 37912.
So, I assume we still have to wait until the winners have been notified.
Has anyone received a winning notification?

I put in an entry, but alas, no phone call. I wonder if I used my work phone or my home phone? Someone near Knoxville should send the "stamped, self addressed" letter and post the results. John
PS I did not think I would win anything anyhow even though I blatantly sucked up to 2 of the judges.

Man, I would have thought that a member of Whaler Central or Continous Wave would have won at least one of the prizes. Still no winners out there? John

I have just received word from Boston Whaler that the winners have been chosen.
There will be a "big splash" in July announcing the winners on their website.
I am looking forward to seeing the winners and viewing the new 2008 calendar when it is released.

You report that the winners have been chosen. Does that imply that the winners have been notified?
I guess it is obvious that I have not been notified, :).

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Whoever the judges were... they dont know the first things about Whalers, pictures, boating, and America. :D:D:D
