I have a '72 Nauset and I am thinking of adding a transom mount trolling motor. Any suggestions as to how much thrust I should be looking at? I have been looking at a 55 lb. motor from Bass Pro. Is that too small?

I have mounted a 55 lb rip tide-salt water on my 1970 nauset.it moves the boat around great-I did add an ext to the handle.I do end up fishing a bank backwards at times.I purchased mine from west marine around 300.

Thanks, Daniel. I was looking at the Bass Pro Father's Day special - 55 lb thrust, stainless shank, extra prop for $149.
