Hello all. New to the forums and a new Whaler owner. I just purchased a 2005 19 Nantucket. The dealer tells me the eye in the anchor locker can lift the boat for my davits? It looks a little light for this. It appears to me the eyelet is for the anchor line not to lift the bow of the boat? Also, why did Whaler install the swim platform on the opposite side of the jump seat? Any answers? Thanks, Dave

Wardey,
Welcome Aboard WhalerCentral.
Yes, the boat is designed to be lifted by the two points at the stern and one at the bow.
I am not that familiar with the newer models but they probably have this fitting which goes all the way through the front of the bow.

As far as the swim platform, aren't there 2 jump seats? One on each side of the stern?
I think one side has a removable jump seat and the other side in stationary.

You can see the bow eye in the above page.
