What pitch prop do you have now?
What brand prop?
What is your maximum WOT now with the prop you have?

Thanks for reply. The problem is I just buy the boat with a 4stroke. I want to install a 115 Evinrude I have from the era of the boat to look more original.

You are going to have to provide some more information. There are an awful lot of different outboard motors made over the last 40+ years that one could call a "115 Evinrude".

Ideally you should tell us the year, shaft length and gear ratio as well as the WOT RPM range of the motor you have. Some insight as the motors viability would be good to know as well as how you intend to mount it.

If you tell us that, we can offer some propeller suggestions, but there is far more to consider than just pitch when selecting a propeller.

Assuming a 2.0 gear ratio, I would use an Evinrude 17" pitch prop.

Larry -- Why would you assume the unidentified motor has a 2:1 gear ratio?

What model of Evinrude 17" pitch prop are you recommending?

At what RPM will he hit with that Evinrude 17" pitch prop?

Is a 1983 with a 2:1 Gear, two stroke, 20 shaft, 5500 wot. The engine is in excellent condition. New rebuild kit six months ago. I made some calculations and think about a 17 pitch prop, but this is only theory.,

A 1983 20" shaft length Evinrude 115 uses the intermediate size gearcase and propeller. If we assume the boat is capable of 36-38 MPH then you would probably make best use of the 13-1/4" x 17" BRP SSP, the 13-7/8" x 15" BRP Viper, the 13-1/4" x 15" Stiletto Advantage or 14" x 15" Stiletto Star.
