Monday was truly an amazing day out on the Gumdrop, 40 miles West of Half Moon Bay, CA. Our first hookup happened a minute after we got the lines out and it was a steady pick from that point on till the boxes were stuffed with 13 albacore from 15-33lbs. Eight fish were over 25lbs and four of those over 30lbs! We lost four fish as well, two were at the side of the boat b/c they tangled, one broke off the meat lines and the fourth was b/c I forget to set the clicker and got spooled on the rocket launcher and we didn't notice till it was too late! I even donated a G Loomis rod to the Gumdrop as a token of my appreciation for giving me the best day of fishing of my life, lol!!! Done by 1:00pm, left em biting after a triple. Boxes were plugged. Zucchini was the hot lure of the day. The ocean was FAC all day.
