Hello all. I'm looking for opinions on whether this trailer would be a good fit for the Classic 13. It's a Gator trailer designed for a 12'-14' boat. I like the rollers down the middle with the bunks on the side. Seems perfect to me, but would love to hear some opinions. Thanks.

If you don't have to go far to the ramp it's probably OK. I prefer a bit beefier trailer if you're going to be pulling it down the highway. Here's the one my 13' is on:

Might want to look into something a tad bit larger.....

The frame is small (kind of looks like a jon boat trailer), the bunks are short, and the tires and wheels are small.

How much I paid? That's a good question. I bought it directly from WesCo trailers. They had an order from a boat dealer, and when the delivery driver showed up, the dealer claimed he was just asking for a price quote, not ordering. I believe I paid around $850, they let me have it for the dealer price. I think the retail was around $1200.

A little pricey, but I have a bigger issue: closest dealer is in GA. What's the model number? Perhaps I get lucky on Craigslist.

It looks pretty lightweight...The only boats I've seen on a trailer like that have been aluminum jon-boats...

I bought my trailer from a Whaler dealer when his customer didn't want a trailer with his new boat...

It seems like there are trailer manufacturers like WesCo all over, I believe there's at least one in Florida. Maybe the best thing to do would be to run an ad on Craigslist. There are folks that buy a boat/motor/trailer combo and never use the trailer because they dry store it, or store it on a lift.

You would think so, particularly in Orlando, the third largest metro area in the State. However, I can't find a local boat trailer dealer. There are companies for other types of trailers or boat dealers, either could order a trailer, but none carries an inventory for you to look at. Closest is 100 miles away. But I will try the Craigslist route. Thanks.

Contact Continental trailers home based in Clearwater FL. Plenty of styles for whalers and dealers all over Florida. I needed parts for the old Continental trailer under my Dauntless and they put in touch with a local dealer (great service from Barry Trailers in Sarasota, BTW)

I already did. They don't have any trailers-only dealers in Orlando. They sent me to an outfit that makes other trailers (and they are very good at it) and can order Continental. But I still cannot go see one and touch it unless I drive 100 miles to Tampa.
