I have a 1994 40 HP Mercury on my 1993 13' Sport with no power trim. I found someone selling a complete power tilt/trim unit that came off a 1998 25 HP Mercury. His motor is toast so he is selling off the parts.
Will the power trim unit off the 25 HP work on my 40 HP Mercury? Can I install a separate switch on the dash to operate it as there is no switch on my controls. How easy is it to install?
