Forgive me for not being able to locate this... I believe it was in an earlier post I've searched but can't find.

Awhile back a couple of threads were going about mounting an E-tec. Talk about # of holes up or down, drilling holes in transom or motor, etc. In the midst of those I exchanges, I believe I saw a mention of a bracket that could eliminate the need to drill new holes, simplify the proper level at which to mount the motor, etc.

Could someone help me with locating the thread, information about the mounting bracket?? I'd be most grateful for the assistance.

Thanks in advance,

Mike

Drilling 2 new holes is simple and the easiest and least expensive way to go....

Is this the article?

Why are so many people afraid of drilling 2 new holes in the transom to mount a new motor properly?
Filling the 2 old holes is also simple and will mostly be hidden by the motor after installation.
