Trim tab for what?

The motor or the boat?

I moved this to the Boat forum for now.
I will move it to the Engine forum if this is for the motor...

General Forum should not be used unless it doesn't fit anywhere else.

The proper position for the trim tab on the outboard motor is this...

When cruising at your normal speed...
The steering wheel should have the same feel when turning in either direction....
Meaning, it should not be harder to turn in one direction and easy to turn in the other direction... It should be equal...
Adjust the trim tab to achieve this....

NOTE:
If you have Hydraulic or No-Feeback steering, you may not be able to feel this...
