I have an opportunity to purchase 1994 Outrage. Does anybody know of anything special I should be looking for when checking her out? 200 Merc w/ 8hp Evinrude.
Thanks

Hello Ron and Welcome Aboard WhalerCentral.
What size Outrage are we talking about?
From the 200 hp Mercury, it sounds like it is around a 20 footer?

21 ft. Supposedly started her life new in Bellingham, WA. Has been on the Oregon coast since 2005, where she has been stored on the trailer. Not used since Feb, 2006. Stored open, outside on trailer. Other than needing a good bath she looks pretty good. No visible hull damage, (cracks, dings, etc.).
In addition to the two motors has vhf, depth sounder, gps.
After reading everything I can find on this great site about water logging, fuel line failures, drain failures, etc. I'm a bit concerned. Not overly concerned, but trying to learn.
Is there a way to find out what the factory weight should be for this model? One suggestion seems to be to weigh her (net of trailer) as a method to check for water log damage. Thoughts?
Thanks!!
