Hi, I am looking for a prop to fit this set up. The engine is an Evinrude 150 E-TEC. Boat weight is 2500 lbs. dry,no engine or fuel or gear.

Thom -- There are hundreds of propellers that will fit an Evinrude E-TEC 150. Did you have one particular one in mind?

Hi, one that will give good performance . I have tried the viper 17p and she barely gets to 5300 rpm with the engine all the way up on the mounting bolts and trimmed out. I would like to get the engine to 5600 rpm or as close to it as possible, in the optimal range. Thanks for your input in advance.

Hu?

Why not take Tom's advice from this thread? Remember this?

Tom's second recommendation:

An even better prop would be the 14-1/4" x 17" Stiletto Advantage 4.75 (or its Turbo 1 sibling), which would also cost less too.

Hi, the hull is not a classic hull design but, the accu-trac hull and much heavier than the 18 outrage classic.

Going out on a limb, putting my Tom Clark hat on, dropping down to a 15" of the same brand would gain ~ 200 rpm's.

Dropping form a 17" Viper to a 15" Viper will gain you 300-400 RPM. As it turns out, there is no such thing as a 15" Viper but there is a 14-3/4” x 16" Viper, part #763912 which would gain you 150-200 RPM which would put you at 5450-5500 RPM.

To drop to a 15" BRP prop you would need to go to the 15" x 15" SSP. This is the old SST design and I do not like for this boat/motor combination.

You could also try a 14-1/4" x 13" Stiletto Advantage 4.75 which I think would put you at 5700 RPM. Maybe too high.

I am actually surprised the 17" Viper is not allowing more RPM.
