I need to change my old Pate Tank. I'm on the fence I have looked at what's available and I'm leaning towards a new Pate. It's a good match for the Montauk. I got current pricing & shipping. The dillemma is with color. They offer white, desert tan and theyn offered me a custom color, bone which he described as being in between white and desert tan. The problem is without any brochures or web site I don't know what to do. My 82 has it's original desert tan gel coat thats a bit faded. Has anyone purchased a new Pate that could offer some advice?
Thanks,

Steve

make sure it is made with the new polyester resin. They found that the ethanol in gas nowadays dissolves the resin they used to use. it can wreak havoc on your carbs/injection.
good luck

No one has purchased a new fiberglass tank since the ethanol gas has arrived?

The color bone is off white. So unless your desert tan is really faded I would think the bone tank would stick out like a stripper at a convent. :o
