I was thinking of purchasing a Divemaster looks like a good boat for diving my concern is I intend to use it for Fishing and sometimes the water tends to pick up and I end up with some nasty chop and decent swells. Has anyone experienced the handling of this boat in the decent chops, just wondering if I should look at other Boats instead.

Jeffs boat & project was a huge inspiration for me to buy a 22 ft Divemaster. I lost it in a fire during the restoration, I never had a chance to sea trial.
The only issue I really found about Divemasters...
Being a Divemaster, with all the talk about water impregnating the foam of Whalers, I found the amounts water & added weight minimal. I prodded that boat pretty good thinking I had to get all the water out I could. uhh...I didnt find enough to worry about...IMO, a waste of time.
I think Jeff once said he liked the ride of his Dads heavier CPD than his own Sport model.
Once I got past that, I accepted the fact this Divemaster foam and decks will be wet all the time since the door would be open often...let the water come in, I dont care. My Divemaster bait well was filled with OEM foam. Im sure CPD filled it to add floatation due to the likelyhood the dive door will allow the deck to become swamped often. CPD Divemasters also have scuppers going thru the splash well dam you dont see on sport models.
No doubt a 22 is sea worthy, if you get a Divemaster, I hope you understand and accept the foam/water issue. Tho Im sure there is one that is dry, I wouldnt bet on it. If its dry, why bother with having a foam filled boat with a dive door?

Any idea on what the deadrise is on the Divemaster compared to the Guardian or Outrage? tried looking on the Whaler website but is does not have the Deadrise specs listed.
