Does it have power on it?
What condition is the hull in?
Does it have the Big A-10 Welded Aluminum Console or the standard Fiberglass?
Does it have the OEM Whaler Commercial and Government Products Division trailer?
Where is the hull and how has it been used? Private or Government / Military?
Is it off or was it originally bought from
GSA or Government Liquidators?
My Father bought his 22 guardian off GSA Auctions. Ours came from a freshwater river in Georgia where it was used for training FBI, CIA, Coasties, Marines, and Navy personnel. The auction listed the boat as running with needing repairs. From the images on the auction our guardian looked way beyond any other one listed. Well it did run when we got it home but, man oh man. Let me state "Nothing that was used as government property is ever cared for in any type of manner". All of the rigging on our boat was a mess. There was need for some good fiberglass repair. The motors needed a lot of TLC, Etc. Etc.
These Government hulls if used for service are not loved and cared for like many of the standard whalers out there. A Trust me the boat is worth probably worth every penny of what they are asking for it. It is up to you to ask if it fits your needs.
These old government whalers are great boats but most need some work. If you look at the pictures of my fathers 22 the boat looks great but trust me it is very battle scared and used. I look at it as part of the boat's character and I think it adds to the boat. These hulls are tanks and the added weight and thickness of fiberglass make these hulls perform much better than their Outrage counter parts. Running 35-38 mph in 3-4 footers with our Guardian is actually become routine. Doing that in my outrage would be crazy. These boat are very sought after for good reason. Many are drawn to them by the aesthetics, capabilities, or legend. Most of this desire to own own is just by word of mouth and many look for and buy these hulls with out ever owning or riding one. And I think many do not even know how good these hulls are until they get them out and running.

They are awesome hulls, dry as a bone and built to last. I've been in mine 65+miles offshore, fished overnight and the entire next day. I couldn't be happier with it, its not a Guardian but the same hull design. Does it have a Whalerdrive bracket?
