Thank You all for your repond. This site help me alot. Joe Kriz, I live in Orange county. Cailfornia. Is that mean I can not use E Tec motor in lake or river in california?

The E-Tec is good for use in California as it is CARB3 rated....
Even Lake Tahoe has approved the E-Tec for use. Lake Tahoe used to have a ban on ALL 2 strokes.
They have lifted the ban on the 2 strokes that are CARB3 rated. Even the law enforcement on Lake Tahoe has some E-Tec motors on the back of their transoms now from what I understand.
