Hi All

I am the new owner of a 1987 13 super sport limited with a 2005 50hp Johnson.

I don't know what actual top end speed is yet (purchased at end of season and did not have GPS with me). Ms guess is upper 30's to low 40's. That being said what is the best say to slow it down a bit so that the kids can take it out ( and switch back to normal when I am on it).

Adjustable rev limiter ? Throttle stop ?? Cable stop?

Throttle stop at the powerhead.

My brother's 13 sport had the side mount shifter mounted funky by a prior owner so the throttle arm would hit the console at 4/5ths throttle ~28 mph.
