proud new owner of an 84 Outrage 18.
There was quite a bit of "junk" under the deck above the tank, so I took the console and that deck out. It is cleaning up nicely. I was very worried the hull was soaked, but I drilled a few places and the foam is dry. The wood strings are moist, but not rotted.
My first couple of questions, of many to follow I am sure, is that on or near the stringers on either side of the tank "hole" there are circles about 1" in diameter with 3 screws in each, these look original, I have no idea what they are for though, and couldn't get any unscrewed.
Secondly, when I put the center console in, I am thinking about moving it as far forward as possible, getting rid of the cooler seats. Anyone see any problems as far as performance of the boat with that move?
Thanks,
Pete

Just a guess but I believe moving the console forward will give you a rougher ride.
