I'm looking for ideas on how to tow 2 whalers together. A classic Outrage 22 and a classic 11ft Sport.
I once saw a 2 tiered trailer online that was designed as a car hauler but have no idea where and it was some time ago now.

Any ideas anyone?

On a Gooseneck trailer it would be a bunch easier than a stack. A stack would be extremely tough to load and off load. However a goose neck would be reasonably easy to engineer a second cradle for the smaller boat, to transition forward and aft. In that situation length does matter.

I helped a friend move out of LSU to Miami, many moons ago, We were towing a car and a boat, We were stopped outside of Tampa Fl and were told we could not do that (we were only 225 miles from home) The Fla Trooper made us leave the one car and had to go back and get it (car was not running). I think each state has different laws and each unit needs to have active brakes with tail lights, Also I know some states have a length issues as well...good luck

I was just thinking, When I purchased an 11 whaler I built a wood frame just above my wheel wells in my long bed chevy, I removed the engine and layed in in the bed first, turned the boat upside down in the bed and towed it home on the wood frame in my pick up. If you can do this just hook the other boat on the trailer hitch. The whaler in the bed of the truck should be high enough to not interfere with the trailer of the towed boat

The only thing I can think of is a flat bed car hauler with a trailer behind it for the 22. You could leave the 11 on it's trailer or design some sort of cradle on the flat bed.

Found it.
Took me a while last night to remember where, then remembered I was exploring RV's a few years ago to escape our winters. They make an RV that you can pull a ATV's into the back nowadays but some tow toy trailers

So I played around with my search words to find this.

Unsure of the cost but I suspect they're not cheap.

Towing 2 trailers isn't legal here I think. I've only seen tandem semi's on the prairies here and in Australia where they're called 'trains'.

The alternative is a flatbed car hauler that could carry both boats on their own individual boat trailer. I have a Fulton swing tongue on the 22's trailer so this may help a bit for size.

They sure do look great but as you say, could be very costly. Also consider the tow vehicle necessary to pull it and in particular, at the launch ramp.

Where money is no object all things become possible. Right down the road from me we have the Monticello Motor Club and race track. This is the playground for the very rich with Ferraris and such. One fellow has one of the very fancy Motor coach homes that he pulls an Escalade behind. It also has a slide out garage under it where he keeps his fancy car. It slides out and drops down and off comes the Ferrari or Lamborghini and he travels between here and Watkins Glen in very high style.

I think you could find a good used flat bed from a towing service gone belly up that would be the least expensive in the mix of things.
