First time whaler owner after years of following the classics; 1991 Sport 15 GLS in really good shape w/ no power; have a really good offer on a 2004 60 HP Merc 4-stroke; does anyone have experienc with a similar setup?; I like the idea of a newer 4-stroke, but I'm concerned about the weight

The old OMC 70hp motors weighed in at 248 pounds if I remember correctly so 247 pounds is not too much.
