So Elvis was born in Tupleo, MS and near his birth home is a 300 acre lake named in his honor...

Yesterday a friend of mine and I took our boys out for a day of fishing. 30 minutes into a 7 hr day my yammy slows to an idle speed and refuses to throttle in forward or reverse. It slips into gear but no juice. I shut it down and removed the cowl to find a cotter pin missing and the throttle cable loose. So problem solved but where did the cotter pin go ? Well I found it not inside the tray but in my engine well. How did it get there ? Even more amazing is it did not fall into the water but lept back into the boat !

Then we are cruising from back up lake when the engine lost power and sputtered out... I looked back with annoyment and immediate saw that the fuel line connection had come off. No damage and it snapped right back on... On our way again...

I went for the first time to Graceland not 3 weeks ago and learned many things about the King... One was that he had a good sense of humor and liked to joke around...

We didn't catch any fish either...

Perhaps Elvis always wanted a Whaler and never got around to getting one! :)
