Ok, many of you whom have been on W.C. since 2007 when i joined have heard me whining about getting my dream boat, which is a 25 Center Console Whaler, with Whaler Drive. Well, I just agreed to terms, and am purchasing one. Once again, its far, far away in Fla, so will be a road trip in Oct before i actually take possesion, and have it back to the island. Already, there are several things i will do to it before it hits the water, however, it will be ready to cruise long before the Whaler get-to-gether next year, which oh by the way, Whaler John is in charge of next year.
In the meantime, will be selling my primary 88 Whaler, with the 2006 225 E-Tec, teak bow pulpit, and built in electronics box etc which is shown on my personal page. I have recent updated pictures, so anyone whom is interested, give me a shout as it will have to go.
And yes, with (more then likely) Joe's help, will get pictures posted to my personal page of the new Whaler, with twin 200 yamies. It is one bad azz boat!! :) Guess, i may have to beat that 54 MPH top end record!

i do John, due to space considerations, i have my 87 out on consignment. Living on an island doesn't allow you a whole lot of room for parking!

Congratulations Duf,
From what I have read about the 25's with Whaler drive, you can expect almost 50 MPH with the 200's. The ride is said to be fantastic, a major step up from the 22's. This is from reading, no experience.
In the future a 22 or 25 Outrage is in my plans. Will have to wait a little longer.
Congratulations again, looking forward to pictures.

Yes, a fun road trip indeed!!. If economy was better I would consider your 22', as I think that would be my next one.

Duff,
Double congratulations!
The 25's have the mass that makes for a more comfy ride. My brother in law loves his (non-whalerdrive). With the single 275 Mercury, it is a 50 MPH boat- if you can afford the fuel bill.
I am looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Thom, the 22 CC is a fantastic boat, and if not for the offshore jaunts, and my family visits (8 total including me on a boat) probably wouldn't have strayed from the one i own now. Its gone through 5 foot seas all the way out to 50 miles, with no issues. Is great on fuel, no complaints at all, and top end is around 54 MPH. Just don't like not having two motors strapped on when i go that far offshore. And actually i won't unless i have another boat with me. Otherwise, 10 miles is my limit.
Doug, PM me your e-mail and i shoot you some photo's.
thanks all for the congrats!
