Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: How high to mount motor on my 15'? Need advise

I'm switching things up a little. Took the 70 off my '81 15 Sport. Got a really good deal on a 2008 90 Yamaha 2-stroke. Gonna mount tomorrow. Which holes would you guys recomend?

I would recomend you stay with the 70. I have a 70 and it has plenty of power. The weight and power way more exceed the limits of a 15'.

Start with 2 holes up. This means the top bolts should be in the third set of holes when counting down from the top.

I put the same motor on my '63 model 16'-7". A 90TLR built in '08 and wound up 3 holes up to get the cav plate out of the water on plane.
