Went to start it up this morning the engine gave a few coughs and would not start, I opened up the hood and fuel was everywhere. The whole engine pan was awash in fuel. The fuel line from the upper carb bowl to the Tee fitting for the primers was split open right under the bowl. The fuel just ran right out of the bowl. Bought a new fuel line and changed it, now not only will it not start it does not even cough as if trying to start. It cranks over great, I pulled the plugs and it does not look flooded. What could have happened???
The fuel line was all soft and deteriorated so mark up another one to ethanol in the fuel

HELP

A bit of the old fuel hose could have migrated to the carbs and plugged them. Rebuild the carburetor.

Just rebuilt both carbs last week and it was running fine in the yard onn the trailer, was gonna plop it in the water yesterday to fine tune the carb adjustments per the manual when the fuel line split open and my problems started. Glad this happened at home and not out in the middle of the bay..

Last night when the sun went down we cranked it and checked the spark, there is spark on all four plugs but it is very weak. What can cause all 4 cylinders to have a weak spark all at once????

It is very hard to see the spark on those center fire plugs .
