We have a 25 Revenge and am looking into having our boat in dry dock storage in the Florida Keys. I am from WI. Looking at keeping the boat down there so we can do more fishing trips in the future. It would be much more convenient to fly down and have the boat and fishing gear down there already. We don't mind the drive, but the wear and tear on the vehicles/boats and time off work for drive time all play into factor; also I could probably do more trips if the boat was already down there. Right now I almost have to do a 2 week trip to make it worthwhile if we drive down. If the boat was there already I could even do a trip like 4 days even. From what I have read online, boat storage is at a premium down there. Some places can be pretty pricey per month. The Boat House in Marathon, FL has dry slips you can purchase, but the investment is still pretty pricey. They store your boat in a large shed and need about a 12 hour notice to get your boat in the water for ya. Sounds like a pretty good deal but the price is what concerns me. Bud N Mary's in Islamorada rents out dry dock slips for $12/foot which equals $300 month for our boat. They have a 3 month minimum and that is $900; a grand total of 3600 for 1 Year ! Am looking for storage that would cover the boat so it wouldn't be open to weather.
Looking for options and/or connections. Would also possibly consider the east coast or the gulf of Mexico area.

The Keys are islands and anything that takes space is a premium. If you do find something, make sure your insurance is adequate. Theft is very bad down there. As much as most of the locals depend on tourism, they hate tourists.

Most folks that live there now discovered the place while on vacation.
Bud and Marys has been there for a very long time so I'm sure they're a good place to store your boat. I spent six years living in the keys...... Very nice.
