The boat came with this outboard. it had some kind of electrical problem & we knew the CDI box was a used replacement of the original knowing the previous owner. We sent this core to mercury for accuracy in parts ordering. I guess the CDI box in the 1973 & 1975 is different. About 2 weeks later we received the new one & installed it. The motor performs beautifully for it being 37 yrs old.

Very nice. Next time you plain-off you might want to lower the fish net. Could be causing some drag. Ha..

Sometime this winter it may get an extreme makeover, have to see how things go with new baby. But I plan on a new console, bow rail, & probably an RPS. Maybe a new paint job too. Will post new images as the time goes. I will have to start a project page.
