Does anyone have a wiring diagram for an '80 50hp motor? I looked in the downloads and did not see anything. Need to determine what setup I need, I don't see the big red plug inside of the motor and that is what controls I got with my project.

If you go to http://shop2.evinrude.com and select your year and hp in the left column, then select ignition system, you'll see that part #34 Motor Cable Assembly seems to be the engine side of the connector you seek to match the shift side.

Scroll down to about the middle of this article and you will see the red plug along with all the wires and info where they connect to.
