Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Bow Rail Splash Screen

I have a 17' montauk and I am looking for a cover or screen that I can attach to the bow rail. I've seen then on other boats but don't know what they are called or where to begin looking. Usually made of blue canvas or material from a boat cover. I would attach it to the bow rails (from top of rail to bottom) and it would help deflect some of the water coming over the sides in high surf and wind.

I would appreciate if anyone has seen this before and can tell me where to purchase.

kknaka,

I had the same thing on my Montauk when I bought it. I am not sure what they are actually called either except Splash Screen...

Mine were made out of the blue canvas and went all around the front railing. I would think any canvas shop could make them up.

I looked for some of my old photos but have not been able to find the ones I am looking for.
If I find them, I will post them here.

I am going to do the same with my monauk. I am going to purchase the material here close by and make my own. I will post pics and info on it in a couple of weeks.
