I found a great place to find hard to get old motor parts. Nick's Marine in Houstonville, Ky. (nevmtrs@windstream.net) 606-346-2446. Found a starter for the '66 Mercury. Their site shows tons of old cowlings etc.

Fred. Send a Private Message to Binkie on this forum. He belongs to an Antique outboard motor club and he should be a valuable source to find any hard to find parts that you may need as well.

You can do a "site search" for his name from the left colum of this site. Once it comes up, click on his name and it'll take you to his profile. Then select the "send a private message" link.

Binkie is very involved in the antique motor scene.
