Joe, do you have an opinion or suggestions regarding hydraulic trim tabs for a 20' Outrage?

Hi Carl.
No I sure don't.
There were trim tabs on my Outrage 22' at one time but they were taken off so I just filled the holes. I didn't see any need for trim tabs for my kind of boating.
What is your boat doing that you need trim tabs?
Side to Side list?
Porpoising?
Other trim problems?

Why limit yourself to Hydraulic? Lenco makes great trim tabs, I put them on my 18 foot. If you want or need them, use the largest tabs that will fit.

Hi Joe:
It is porpoising and I believe the motor is working harder than it should if it were trimmed properly. I may be wrong, but I believe I would get better fuel economy and a better ride with proper trim.

Rather than jump to the need for trim tabs, are you sure you engine is mounted at the right height and has the correct prop? What Engine, what prop, what is your RPM at WOT? Also how is your boat setup, photo's help.
Trim tabs will help but only if everything else is setup correctly, otherwise they will do nothing for you.
