Guys....i am having quite a time with one of the doors of the console. After five coats of Amazons Golden teak oil, the teak shows very dark and with a different tone from the other components. Any of you gus have experienced this same problem?

Rob,
Not all wood is the same. I had one piece that was darker than other pieces on my boat.
After one season, they all looked the basically the same.
If it is too dark for you, try using acetone to remove some of the oil. This will lighten the piece up a little bit. Oil it later when the wood looks like it needs it.

I had the same thing happen. Joe is right the more oil you put on it the darker it gets. I personally like it. It gives the boat personality.
