I've been running a 2003 Mercury 115HP 2stroke for 3 years without a problem.

We ran a straight 6 Merc 115 on our Montauk. Great for pulling a heavy slalom skier out of the water.

I had an '82 sport 17 with a 115 johnson on it and it ran quite well. Had to be careful when and where I went WOT, had a tendancy to chine walk when trimmed to the max. Lost a few hats in the water though ;)
