My current propeller is a 13 1/4 x 17 Aluminum. I have a chance to buy an upgrade at 15 x 17.
Would it would work?

A 15" diameter propeller will not fit a two stroke Yamaha 90.

A 15" x 17" is probably for a large gearcase motor (4-3/4" diameter bullet/hub) not an intermediate gearcase motor (4-1/4" diameter bullet/hub).
