I have no idea what happened to my thread! As I stated earlier, I have a 17p Viper SSP prop mounted on a CMC jackplate, the antiventilation plate aligns with the bottom of the hull. 6000 RPM's WOT 36.6 MPH. RPM's too high! 21p Solas prop 5400 RPM's WOT 40.3 MPH too low! When I bought the motor BRP was running a $1000 free rigging promotion. I chose a SSP. The Viper is the only option I have for a SSP. The dealer stated that I can trade the 17p for a 19p. But once I trade, thats it Im stuck with the prop. Do I go with the 19P or stick to the 17P? Any info would be much appreciated, Thanx!

I have no idea either.
You had 2 threads with the same name but one titled "part two". So I consolidated them.
Now they are both gone.
I am not sure why you tried starting a part two when you had a good thread with an ongoing discussion.
In the future, lets stick to one thread and maybe this won't happen again.
Starting two threads on the same topic just gets confusing for everyone.

Mea culpa. I was tying to delete my own post and I think I may have accidentally deleted the whole thread.
At any rate, what I was trying to say was the 19" Viper is the next prop to try. It is a good prop.
It won't tolerate quite as high a motor mounting position as the Stiletto Advantage or Mercury Laser II, but it does very well.
The 19" Viper should bring your WOT RPM into the optimal range for your motor.
If the AV plate is in alignment with the bottom of the hull now, and you have 5-1/2" of setback, you should raise the motor quite a bit, as much as 3 inches.

Don't you mean the 19 pitch Tom ?
He already has the 17 pitch Viper and is getting 6,000 RPM's...

Thanks for the info, I have decided to keep the prop. I am going to try the Stiletto 19 pitch. I found the prop online, Dans discount for $249.00. Is there anywhere that is cheaper?

Personally, I'd get a prop that comes in an 18P, like the Raker. But that's just me. I like to stay closed to the upper end of the RPM range at WOT.

Tom Clark sell them for less than that.
