Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Is it legal to put a plastic cooler seat on top of an aluminum fuel tank?

I have an 16'.8" old Boston Whaler I'm restoring (First time) and I have a 25 gallon aluminum fuel cell that is very strong and only 7" high. I need the space for some serious fishing, so I want to put it under the cooler seat. Mounting it to the deck of course. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks <<Sea Monkey>>

I grew up in Pompano Beach....small world.

If you have an Reversible Pilot Seat (RPS), you'd be able to mount a tank underneath it.
