I have a 2001 16' Dauntless powered by a 115 Yamaha. I have been using it in the open ocean for the past 3 seasons and have been averaging 30/40 engine hours per season. How often should the water pump be replaced. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Slagheap.

If flushed after each use, every 2-3 years. If not flushed, I would do it every 1-2 years. Stick with OEM parts.

They recommend 3 years or 300 hours. It is a good idea to do it soon especially if it has never been done. The manufacturer is not usually very liberal with grease to the bolts and splines of the drive-shaft and shift rod when they put them together. If you wait too long you risk having difficulty getting it all to come apart.
