Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: Montauk Console Mounting Bracket

I have a new, uncut Montauk console of the 1986-1990 version. From photos it looks like the mounting bracket is just a right angle strip of metal. Is it aluminum or stainless? Or am I totally wrong. I'm either looking for a general description or a source of parts. Thanks!

Hi Jeff,
Are you talking about the brackets on the side of the console that mount the console to the deck?

Eric and Tom- thanks for the responses. Tom, your link and info was extremely helpful. I'll start by talking to my Whaler dealer to see if these are still available. If not, I just got my leaning post back from an aluminum welder who does great work for reasonable prices. I'm sure he'll be able to knock out something to Tom's dimensions.
