I'm looking to power my '82 Whaler with the newest 25HP motor I can find and I've come across newsuzukioutboards.com which sells brand new Suzuki 25's for about $3400 with controls. The model is a V-twin 4 stroke which weighs about 20lbs less than the other popular 25s. The model number is DF25RL. It runs at a little lower rpm range than the other 25s as well.

I'm wondering if anyone out there has any experience with ordering from an online company such as "newsuzukioutboards.com" or if you've had any experience/knowledge with this motor. The price is quite agreeable with me. I just want to buzz around rivers in coastal SC with my wife and daughter. Thanks for any advice!

The most popular advice that you will find here is to bring your internet deal to your local dealer and see what they can do. Local deal=local service if you have any trouble. I haven't heard of anyone running one of these yet and I don't know why. A 25hp should do fine just buzzing around rivers in SC in my opinion.
