Hello I have a 190 Nantucket with a 2004 Mercury 115 four stroke EFI. My engine has a stalling issue and I'm looking for some advice. Ok here is the scoop, Engine starts and runs perfectly for 4 to 8 minutes and then stalls, I then restart engine which then runs perfectly at all rpms for any length of time until I turn engine off. I then fish or play for a while (15 minutes or more) and when I restart engine the problem is back, engine runs 4 to 8 minutes and then stalls. The stalling happens about 3 out of 4 starts except when I had Mercury tech on board, then engine started and ran perfectly 3 out of 3 times, waste of 85$, very frustrating. I can sometimes prevent stall by squeezing primer bulb if I reach it in time. This is what Ive done so far, I disassembled and inspected low pressure pulse activated fuel pump, Ive replaced all fuel filters, Ive tried using a carry on fuel tank with separate fuel line and primer bulb. none of this has helped. I currently have a fuel pressure tester just past the low pressure fuel pump and with engine running the pointer on the tester quickly moves from 0 to 16 psi and then back to 0 with each revolution, is this what I should see? Any suggestions as to what may be wrong with my engine would be much appreciated.
