I have a 17' Whaler Montauk 1994-1996 Model.

I have a 2006 ETEC Evinrude 90

Looking to purchase a kicker in spring time.

What HP, and length of Shaft should i get? Also as in Honda, Yamaha, Mercury or whatever companies are out there....
Just something to get me home, i usually sometimes fish 5-15 miles off from shore, in the ocean off course.

The lighter the better and around 8hp
20 inch long shaft bolted directly to the transom.

This works for many models incuding the Outrage and Montauk models.
