while winterizing my motor, the motor seemed to have a lot of play in it. the play seemed to come from where the motor attached to to power trim/tilt bracket. the mount to the transom is tight, the power trim to the transom mount is tight. how much play is ok. the motor actually moves in the area of the rubber mounts down on the shaft. very difficult to describe.

thanks rob
do you have any idea how difficult it is to replace the yolk assembly? i am fairly handy but am not sure if the weight of the motor would be a issue.
thanks

Pull the lower mounting bracket cover and see if you can inspect the rubber mounts on each side as you move the engine.
