Thread subject: Whaler Central - Boston Whaler Boat Information and Photos :: length of throttle/shift cable for 18 Outrage

Is there a standard or agreed upon length for throttle/shift cables on an 18ft Outrage. I can't find the length printed on my cables and I want to replace them.

It may depend on the engine as some engines cables enter the port side and others enter the starboard side.

I have 18' cables and have an Evinrude where the cables enter the engine on the starboard side.

I have a mercury and they enter on the starboard side.

I may pull one and see how long it is.
