Hello all,
I'm making my fuel line connections and wonder if I should put anything on the threads for the male fuel hose barb into the female fuel filter 14" ntp connection. Is there something I should use for a seal on the connections? What about on the hose nipple connections? Also, when I connect my vro hose from the new tank to the engine, is there something I should use here for a good seal?

Thanks, Pete

My fuel filter came with instructions about using a thread sealant. It was a paste not a tape. I cannot remember the specific though. Try doing a google search with your brand of filer and the the words thread sealant.

The rubber fuel lines are designed to use no "sealant", they'll just fit over the "barbed" nylon connectors....use some SS hose clamps, and you'll be fine...

Metal-to-metal connections like the one you describe should have a thread sealant on them. Check out http://www.gasoila.com/index.php?path...chart.html for your options. You can pick this up at any good plumbing supply store.
