Congratulations for the website: FANTASTIC!

I have a fully restored Outrage 22 and I've just bought a Revenge 21. I'm looking to replace the engige on the Revenge 21: I'll definitevily get a 4 stroke, but I'm not sure how many BHP I need. Is 150 enough or should I go for a 200??

Many thanks for your help from a Italian Whaler fan and thanks for putting together such an amazing website full of useful info.

Mario

Why a heavy 4v? Evinrude E-TEC 2v have less moving parts and, no valves to adjust every 100 hours and not to mention the oil changes as well. Just a thought~

I ran a 150 HP Merc on my 21' Ribside Outrage for 4 years, I think it was plenty of power. A 150 should give the Revenge about 45MPH. A 150 Optimax or Verado would be plenty of power for the boat unless you want a higher top end.

150 seems more than enough: no need for higher top speed.
4 strokes seems to me more reliable and environmentally friendly. But you are right, they do have drawbacks.
