my trailer doesnt seem to match my 17' montauk, with 3 rollers, and two short bunks in the back that dont even touch the boat, it also has two triangular bunks in the very front. i cant afford a new trailer, thinking of installing some long bunks myself, i heard its bad for the haul to just be resting on rollers. Anyone got plans or pictures for the correct trailer for a 17' montauk

paposk8ts,
I would look at some of the photos from the trailer manufacturers sites.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Here is one manufacturer on the West Coast.

Notice the 4 bunks and the "Keel Rollers" on each crossmember.
This is the way I like my trailers to be setup.
Keel Rollers are OK but not particularly Wobble Bunk Rollers.....

when I bought my katama last year it was on a bunk trailer in a horribly awkward position and it didnt even have a rear keel roller. I ended up spended a couple hundred bucks to have a local marina lift the boat add a keel roller and adjust. It trailers and launches very nicely now.
