89 Outrage 18. I would like to get a kicker for it. I don't think I need anything more than 10hp for trolling, but folks with experience, please advise.

I use a 9.9 kicker on my 21 Outrage, plenty of power for my needs

I have a yamaha T8 on my 22 outrage. Pushes it just find for a backup or troll. Does not burn any fuel. Troll all day in the ocean and uses 2-3 gallons for 8 hours. Yamaha does not make the T8 anymore, just the T9.9. I think it weights a little more. My T8 is 100lbs, 20 in, electric start.
